News from the Studio – Neal Stephenson!

Today we were lucky enough to get an interview with author Neal Stephenson, who is on tour for the release of his new book, and speaking at the National Book Festival. He came to the studio and talked with FF host Mike Zipser about the new novel, Reamde. We’ll be putting together a show containing this interview in the near future and posting the complete interview on the web at that time.

We want to thank the Arlington Independent Media staff for working with us to make the interview fit with Mr. Stephenson’s schedule.

A shameless plug for Capclave 2011

Big conventions like Comic-Con, Dragon Con, or Worldcon are exciting, but can sometimes be overwhelming.  Smaller regional conventions can also be a lot of fun – and often afford a better opportunity to meet writers and other professionals in the industry.

If you are in the mid-Atlantic region, and enjoy attending small, relaxed science fiction conventions with a literary emphasis, we encourage you to consider Capclave. This year’s convention will be held October 14 – 16 in Gaithersburg, MD, near Washington, DC.

As part of a slow and painful process of overhauling the Fast Forward web site, we’ve revamped the blog.  It’s unclear whether or not we’ll be able to restore any of the old posts, but hopefully we’ll be able to post to this new and improved blog more frequently.
