Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction is a monthly half-hour television series about the genres of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. The show was started in 1989 and has run (almost) regularly ever since. We have completed more than 230 episodes!
Each episode of Fast Forward features an in-depth interview with a professional writer, artist, editor, or filmmaker who has created work that can be described as SF, Fantasy, and/or Horror. In addition, each episode usually has a book review, a segment devoted to new or classic genre film and television, and an events calendar. Some episodes have special reports about people, places, or events of interest to science fiction fans. We welcome your comments and encourage you to submit ideas for future segments.
| Fast Forward is produced by DG Productions, through the facilities of Arlington Independent Media, in Arlington, VA. The Washington Science Fiction Association has, in the past, provided financial support for distribution of the show. The producers also wish to acknowledge the many fans, friends and industry professionals who have generously donated their time and talents to the program. Fast Forward would not exist without their support. |

many recent episodes of Fast Forward are
available for viewing online.
The interview from our July 2010 episode is now available for online viewing! This interview features author and radio show personality Dom Testa, talking about his Galahad book series for young adults. Mr. Testa discusses the first three volumes in the series, his early foray into self-publishing, and how he ended up working with Starscape/Tor Teen, the current publisher of the Galahad series. Mr. Testa also explains the concept behind The Big Brain Club, his effort to help young people equate being smart with being successful (and cool).
You'll need Quicktime 7 compatibility to play the interview. Yes, you need to be able to play Quicktime files to see our videos. The video file is more than 43MB in size, so you'll want to use a broadband connection. What? No broadband? Well, click on the mp3 link beside the photo for an audio only version which should work with slower connections and those who cannot play back Quicktime files.
